By the time Béatrice Tescari launched Bingin Diaries in 2021, she had already been living in Bali for over five years. Like so many stories born from the pandemic pause, her headwear brand was the product of time, reflection, creativity, and a deep love for craftsmanship and coastal living.

“I’d always dreamed of building something of my own,” Béatrice says.

“When the island shut down during COVID, it gave us the stillness and space to finally focus and bring that vision to life.”

That vision became Bingin Diaries – a premium headwear label rooted in slow living, timeless design, and meaningful connection. Inspired by Bali’s raw beauty, Mediterranean minimalism, and the spirit of freedom, Béatrice has created a brand that speaks to adventurers, sun-seekers, and those who appreciate the artistry of a well-made hat.

Named after Bali’s beloved Bingin Beach, Bingin Diaries isn’t just about headwear, it’s about capturing a feeling. A sense of escape. A moment worth keeping. That spirit is stitched into every product the brand releases. Béatrice leads the creative direction, product development, and marketing, while her small but passionate team works between Bali and Europe, collaborating closely with artisans and local workshops.

“At first, it was about supporting the island’s incredible makers,” Béatrice says. “Many of them had lost their income during COVID, and this was a way to create something beautiful together.”

Though Bingin Diaries has since expanded to also produce in Portugal and soon in Mexico, the core values haven’t shifted. The focus remains on mindful consumption, artisanal processes, and creating products that tell a story, without rushing the creative process.

“We’re not chasing fast fashion,” Béatrice says. “We’re building a brand that’s rooted in authenticity and intention.”

Ask Béatrice about living and working in Bali, and it’s not hard to see why she’s never left. “The creative energy here is unlike anywhere else. The nature, the craftsmanship, the constant influx of global travellers – it’s the perfect place to design freely.”

But that dreamy setting doesn’t come without its challenges. Managing logistics, ensuring ethical production standards, and juggling handmade timelines with international demand is a tightrope Béatrice walks daily.

“As we expand into wholesale, there’s pressure to launch more collections faster. But that pace goes against everything we believe in. So we’re constantly trying to protect the balance.”

So what’s next for Bingin Diaries? In true Bingin Diaries fashion, the future isn’t about rushing or over-producing. Instead, it’s about quality, texture, and thoughtful expansion. The brand plans to continue exploring limited-edition accessories, exclusive capsules, and new textures and tones, always with the same handcrafted ethos and a global eye.

“We want to stay true to what made people fall in love with us in the first place.”

And while the headwear range remains at the heart of the brand, Béatrice hints at something a little more unexpected: “We’re exploring exclusive accessories that complement our aesthetic. Maybe even more wearable fashion pieces in the future…”

Before launching her own label, Béatrice worked in Bali’s hospitality and F&B scene, managing hotels and restaurants. But even before that, the island had already pulled at her heart. “It might sound cliché, but Bali had this hold on me. It was an obsession, really. I knew I was meant to be here.”

And that instinct proved right. Today, Béatrice is not only the founder of one of Bali’s most exciting emerging fashion brands, she’s also a creative force determined to honour craft, protect culture, and inspire others to slow down and create with meaning.

Because in a world of mass production and fast fashion, Bingin Diaries reminds us what it means to wear something with soul.
